Breast Cancer Care is encouraging as many people as possible to get involved in its Strawberry Tea Summer to raise money to support the 46,000 people who are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.

A Strawberry Tea can be whatever you want it to be – a picnic, a cake sale or your work tea-break with a strawberry twist. What’s important is that it’s a chance for you and a few colleagues to get together over a cup of tea and a slice of cake, to talk, have fun and raise money.

There are over half a million people in the UK who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and every year another 46,000 will hear the devastating news that they have this life-threatening disease.  Dealing with this diagnosis is a confusing, lonely and frightening time not only for the person diagnosed, but for their partner, family and friends.

Breast Cancer Care offers support to anyone affected by breast cancer, providing expert information and skilled emotional and practical support, as well as campaigning for improved standards of care.

It offers support people 24 hours a day, seven days a week and all services are provided free of charge.  Fundraising events such as Strawberry Tea help to increase awareness of the scale and impact of breast cancer, whilst raising money to fund its vital work.
